Raised by two people who could not sit still
Road trips became flights. Flights became continents. Somewhere in there I figured out what I wanted to do with my life.

My parents never waited for the perfect moment. Not until the kitchen was finished or the promotion came through. They packed the car, and later the suitcases, and we went.
You stand somewhere your language doesn’t work. You eat something you can’t name. Something in you loosens. You come home with a wider idea of what a life can look like.
Travel has the power to transform. It opens our eyes to different ways of life and broadens our minds in ways nothing else can.
CarlaI planned my own trips, then my friends’ trips, then trips for people I had never met. At some point I stopped pretending it was a hobby.

Three things I’ll not budge on
The feeling comes first
Before I look at a single flight I want to know what you want the trip to feel like.
Unplanned days are part of the plan
A schedule with no air in it is a commute with better scenery.
You’ll always get a straight answer
If a resort is coasting on an old reputation, I’ll say so.

Why a person, not a prompt
What AI is good at
- Five destinations that suit your month and your budget.
- A rough sense of how many days a city needs.
- Translating a menu while you stand in the restaurant.
What it can’t do
- It has never slept in the room. I have, or I know who has.
- It can’t call a hotel and ask for the corner room, the late check-in, the anniversary bottle already in the fridge. That comes out of a relationship, not a prompt.
- It doesn’t know the 4.8-star operator changed hands in March.
- It can’t rebook you at 11pm when the airline app is timing out.
- It has no supplier rates and no held group space.
- It can’t be wrong on your behalf.
She listened, took our input seriously, and actually brought it to life instead of handing us a cookie-cutter itinerary.
